CSSC Uniform Policy
College Station Soccer Club (CSSC) strives to project a professional image, of which the club uniform plays an integral part. The club uniform helps forge identity and fosters pride in the organization. Therefore, all registered players and coaches will be required to adhere to the uniform policy.
The official CSSC uniform consists of the following items: (1) CSSC-issued jersey containing the CSSC logo on the front left chest of the jersey and a number on the back of the jersey, (2) black shorts and (3) socks that are consistent in color with the rest of the team and that cover the shin guards. This uniform must be exclusively worn anytime a team is playing under the CSSC affiliation in league, cup and tournament matches. A "team" can be completely made up of registered CSSC players from Fall or Spring CSSC teams from the seasonal year (Aug 1 - July 31) or a combination of players from different Fall or Spring CSSC teams registered under CSSC and affiliated through BVYSA and STYSA from the seasonal year. "Affiliation" means that the CSSC Registrar or BVYSA Registrar has provided a roster and/or player cards for the event and/or the team name or tournament affiliation is through CSSC.
No decorations other than the CSSC logo and CSSC-issued jersey number shall be permitted unless approved by the CSSC Board. "Decoration" includes all numbering, lettering, or logos applied to any piece of kit by heat-transfer, screen printing, embroidery, or any other method. No other club logos may be added to the CSSC uniform.
Sponsorship logos may not be placed on the CSSC soccer uniform kit (jersey, shorts, or socks) without prior approval of the CSSC Soccer Board. Player's names are not permitted on uniforms (i.e., on the back of jerseys) for risk management and safety of the players. Sponsorship logos are not allowed on uniforms worn in regular season league games.
If a registered CSSC player is guest playing for a team that is not a team to which the player is rostered (such as another STYSA team), that player may be exempt from this policy with prior approval of the CSSC Soccer Board.
CSSC reserves the right to restrict coaching rights and/or player registration and season participation to players/coaches that do not adhere to these policies.
Exceptions:
Goalies: Must wear attire that is different enough from all the field players so that they are identifiable to the referees. This can be done with practice game vests or goalie shirts. Goalie gloves allowed.
Cold weather: The jersey and number must be visible at all times no matter what the conditions. Layers can go underneath the jersey. This can include sweats, coats, and long underwear style products. Layers of athletic attire are allowed on the legs, this includes sweatpants, long underwear, tights, and leggings, and they should be black.
