Rules for Placing U5-U6 Players on to Teams
1) look at the total number of age verified players, including waitlisted players, and divide that number by 6 to know how many teams to form. No unpaid players may be placed onto a team.
2) all head coach an 1assistant coach's children are placed on roster.
3) remaining players are divided into two lists based on gender. The shorter of the two lists will be randomly assigned to the rosters. This will be done by using a random number generator in the preferred spreadsheet program and then the players are placed in numerical order based on the randomly generated numbers. The player with the lowest number will go onto the first team (501 or 601). The next player will o to 502 or 602. This will continue until all of these players have been placed. The only exception would be a sibling of the same gender. They should be identified before step 2 begins. If there are siblings placed this team will be skipped over in the process until all other teams have been assigned the same number of players.
4) Coordinator will check for any siblings to the payers that have already been placed on a roster. If there are any they will be placed together (if the parent requested this at registration).
5) the rest of the players on the longer list will be placed the same way the first list was placed.
6) once all players that registered on time have been placed roster the waitlisted players who have been verified as described in steps 3-5. Ensure that payment has been processed prior to placement. There will not be a differential of more than one player amongst rosters when teams are formed.

Rules for Placing U12-U14 Players onto Teams
Look at the total number of age verified players, including waitlisted players, and divide that number by 13 to know how many teams to form. No unpaid players may be placed onto a team.
Players registered before the deadline:
1) Head coach and 1 assistant coach's children are placed
2) Played for requested coach the previous spring.
3) Once players from previous season have been placed siblings will be placed
4) Non-returning players who requested to play for coach or with a player are rostered. Priority is based on registration date/time (register 8/1 is priority over 8/2).
5) Check for waitlisted player requests, but do not roster yet. (only consider players who are age verified)
6) Roster players who met deadline, but fill in spots that do not conflict with waitlisted requests first. If there are more of these than open (open spots are spots nobody has requested) then the remaining players who met the registration are randomly assigned.
7) Waitlisted players are rostered in order of registration. If the team they requested has an open spot they get it. If the requested team doesn't have an open spot the coordinator will check for the total number of open spots and the total number of verified and paid waitlisted players. If there are 5 open roster spots this player will be temporarily skipped to check the requests of the next four. Those four will be examined in registration order and if requests can be met they will be rostered. If requests cannot be met they will temporarily be skipped. Once the process of checking the next four is over the players will be randomly assigned the remaining spots.
All U12 and U14 rosters must have a minimum of 10 players if registration allows for it. There will not be a differential of more than one player amongst rosters when teams are formed.
